Research in measurement of atmospheric parameters, air-surface exchange of greenhouse gases, soil energy exchange, radiation, and lightning physics and chemistry; analyses in support of climate change and carbon sequestration studies.

  • Principal investigator: DOE AmeriFlux Program and Argonne Emergency Response Meteorological System.
  • Instrument mentor: Four DOE Atmospheric and Radiation Measurement Program instrument systems, with multiple installations at three fixed sites and two mobile facilities.
  • Field research participant: Numerous dry deposition, air-surface exchange, lightning physics and chemistry, precipitation, radiation, and monitoring research studies in the United States and abroad.
